SECTION 3: Analysis of Two (Public) Companies in the IT market sector (This section is NOT an IT market sector analysis)

· Company name, its product/service that is being analyzed
· SWOT analysis of the company:
· Strengths and weaknesses
· Opportunities and threats
· Financial data about the company (e.g., ranking, earnings, sales and profits, projected growth, etc.).
· Each group’s presentation is to include speaker notes
written in paragraph format
in the ”
Notes” section on EACH SLIDE of the presentation as a written transcript of what will be said orally (i.e., a slide should not contain an overload of text; the Notes section will include the detailed text for each slide written in complete sentences).
· Most (if not all) slides should include
AT LEAST ONE IN-TEXT CITATION for information obtained through research (and found in your research notes) – example (author, year) or if no author (publication/database/site, year) that corresponds to an information source listed in the Reference List (slides). This is to give proper attribution and not “plagiarize.”
· Slides should include
visuals (i.e., graphic images, charts, etc.) to create interest and
minimal text (details will be provided in the Notes section on each slide).
· Also
cite any images used on ANY SLIDE (name of website and URL) to give proper credit. Be careful of copyright infringement. You can obtain “Creative Commons” images that anyone may be able to use on Flickr in the Creative Commons area.
